Prayer
Prayer is at the heart of everything we do, in sending and supporting mission workers. It helps us share in the joys and challenges of fellow believers around the world.
What do we pray for?
1. Pray that every member and partner of SIM will experience a deep hunger for God, renewed devotion, and a fresh fire of the Holy Spirit. — Psalm 85:6
2. Ask God to preserve SIM in sound doctrine, harmony, and unity—standing firm on the truth of the gospel .— Ephesians 4:3
3. Pray for the advancement of the gospel through SIM—locally and globally. — Matthew 28:19
4. Pray for wisdom, humility, and divine strategy for SIM’s leaders, coordinators, and ministry teams. — James 1:5
5. Ask God to raise strong, Spirit-filled leaders through training, mentorship, and
discipleship programs. — 2 Timothy 2:2
6. Pray for SIM’s work in education, health, empowerment, and community development across Sierra Leone and beyond. — Matthew 5:16
7. Pray for supernatural financial and material resources to fulfil SIM’s mission and vision.

8. Ask God to connect SIM with kingdom-minded individuals, churches, and global partners.

9. Pray for divine protection, covering, and victory over every spiritual opposition. — Isaiah 54:17
10. Pray that every effort of SIM—spiritual or social—will produce lasting fruits for God’s glory. — John 15:16
How do we pray?
We pray as God’s children, knowing He delights in giving us good gifts. As children, our Father has instructed us to pray – so we faithfully obey.
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! (Matthew 7:7-11)
Although we pray obediently, we also pray boldly, confident that God hears us. Because of Jesus’ sacrifice, we can approach God’s throne with confidence, knowing He listens. (Hebrews 4:16)
In prayer, we persist, asking God for mercy, courage, deliverance, Provision
and much more.
